Use last entered date vs current date - default transaction date

Rick Friesen would like us to have an option in preferences to  choose the default date option, similar to our desktop. Use last entered vs use current date. This saves him time when he's entering past info as he doesn't have to repick the date every time whenever transactions take place the same date.

The transaction entry screen should remember the last date entered, instead of defaulting to a different date.

Even if this is made an option somewhere. If I am working a year behind, it is more work to have to change my date before entering each transaction.
